Dr. Kimberly Huerta
Dr. Kimberly Huerta is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and evidence-based therapy for adults 18 and older.
Dr. Huerta takes an empathic, client-centered approach to meet each of her clients where they are at. Her specialty areas include working with individuals and/or couples with a history of trauma, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Autism spectrum disorder, Bipolar disorders, Conduct/Disruptive disorders, Depression, Major depressive disorder, Mood disorders, Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Panic attacks/Disorders, Phobias and Postpartum mental health. Dr. Huerta believes in a collaborative, empathic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy to help support clients through their journey and create meaningful changes in their lives.
Dr. Huerta received her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Saybrook University in San Francisco, CA. She has extensive experience working in a wide range of clinical settings, including non-profits, hospitals, outpatient programs, and treatment facilities located throughout the Los Angeles and Washington, DC Metro area. Throughout her years of clinical training and experiences in diverse clinical settings, Dr. Huerta recognizes how important the role of culture and identity is on mental health and the importance of incorporating integrative therapeutic modalities into sessions that support each client individually. By honoring individuality along with empathy and unconditional positive regard, clients are able to increase positive self-awareness and create a narrative that ultimately supports emotional growth.
